I thought it would be beneficial to discuss some of QPharm’s services in more detail within the blog. But rather than write up a long winded article, I figured that each month I would profile a different service and go into greater detail regarding our experience with a particular service. So here is goes, the first service of the month, for the month of April 2011 – Tube Filling and Sealing.

Some of our customers were actually surprised to find out that we did tube filling and sealing simply because they didn’t think it fit in with the industries we service. Truth is, there are all kinds of health related tube products on the market (suncare products, acne creams, athlete’s foot medication, etc.) and many years back we invested in equipment to service this packaging system.

Our automated tube filling machine fills and seals anywhere from 20-40 tubes per minute (depends on the tube size and fill).  However, if you ask one of our mechanics, they would probably say this 20-40 rate is being modest. Regardless, we are capable of filling and sealing tubes at a rate perfect for jobs as low as 10,000 units and upwards of a few hundred thousand units. We can fill up to 300 mL size tubes and as low as 15mL tubes. In the past, we have filled lotions, creams, and gels. However, we’re always open to new ideas and new products!

In terms of sourcing tubes, we have numerous contacts in the Greater Toronto Area who will work with us to get you the exact tube you need for your project. Ideally, these tubes would be pre-printed silk screen tubes that simply need to be filled and sealed. Lot coding and expiry date printing is also available.
